Permanent Residence

Make Canada your permanent home with expert guidance through Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, and other immigration pathways.

What is Permanent Residence

Permanent residence (PR) is a status that allows you to live, work, and study anywhere in Canada indefinitely. Permanent residents have most of the rights of Canadian citizens, including access to healthcare and social benefits, but cannot vote or run for federal office. They remain citizens of their country of origin and can apply for Canadian citizenship after meeting residency requirements.

PR is obtained through various programs: Express Entry (Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades), Provincial Nominee Programs, family sponsorship, Atlantic Immigration Program, and other regional pathways. Each program has distinct eligibility criteria and processing times.

PR holders must meet a residency obligation: at least 730 days physical presence in Canada within every five-year period to retain status. They must carry a valid PR card or permanent resident travel document when re-entering Canada by commercial transport.

For Express Entry candidates, we help create and optimize your profile, ensuring all information is accurate and presented in a way that maximizes your CRS score. We guide you through gathering required documents, including educational credential assessments, language test results, and proof of work experience.

If you're considering a Provincial Nominee Program, we help you understand different provincial requirements and guide you through the nomination process. We also assist with alternative programs that might be suitable for your circumstances.

Throughout the application process, we provide ongoing support, answer questions, and help you respond to any requests from immigration authorities. Our goal is to help you submit a complete, accurate application that clearly demonstrates your eligibility for permanent residence in Canada.
